D: I have to agree, what drew me to your art is something that I didn’t fully understand until we had the conversation about making a zine to coincide with the collection - and it’s been like two months since then. Your artwork inspires emotions, and not just nice ones. There’s this cliffhanger type of feeling left after experiencing your work and that made me wonder if we could create something comfortable out of an uncomfortable feeling.

H: Definitely. And not only can we create something comfortable, but can we make these uncomfortable feelings more familiar, and be open to showing that experience openly on clothes. Your work also has a lot of hidden meaning behind it, and often draws on deeper, serious subjects. We talked a lot about spirituality and religion, both within specific faiths and as a larger concept, as well as ideas ranging from government styles and surveillance to art history and human connection.
